Gain a better understanding of the fundamentals on the BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure Commission) process so that your community and your companies can be better prepared for future BRAC activity.  The information is presented by Major General Gregory L. Wayt, USA, Ret, currently the Chief Operating Officer of CBD Advisors, LLC. He brings more than three decades of national security and homeland defense experience coupled with strong relations with the executive and legislative branches of Ohio and the United States. He has held Chief Executive positions in senior leadership, operations, governmental relations, international affairs, congressional affairs, and strategic planning.  MG (Ret) Wayt orchestrated the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Ohio strategy resulting in two impacted Ohio Air National Guard bases to remain open with new and relevant missions plus maintaining over 1,600 military positions in Ohio.  Additionally, he acquired over $300M of new construction of facilities as a result of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure actions and other additional federal appropriations.  His vision and leadership provided the largest influx of military construction appropriations in its history and vastly improved the overall infrastructure.
