Economic Impact Analysis is a primary tool used to understand the costs and benefits of development policy, programs, and projects. This course will focus on how economic impact is used, the inner workings of economic impact analysis, provide case studies of economic impact analysis in Ohio, and evaluate the various economic impact tools and consultants available.

  • Essential workshop for local and regional economic development practitioners
  • Excellent course for elected and appointed local officials such as: city managers, mayors, township trustees and county commissioners
  • No prerequisites: open to all levels of experience
  • Qualifies as OEDI Elective, 5 CE hours

This workshop provides 5 hours of elective credit for the Ohio Certified Economic Developer (OhioCED) credential.  Initial certification requires 24 hours of elective credit within three years.  Once certified, and OhioCED must complete 16 hours of approved continuing education each year to maintain their credential.
